This will currently be my third rewrite of this page, because I can't really think of what to put here. My name is Jacob O'Connell. I have been into computers for years and I've had a website since 2004 and since then I've started many websites, some of which have failed, and some have prevailed. This will be my third attempt at a personal page, but rather than a focus on video games, or just boring me, it has a focus on photography.

I have an obsession with photography, I eat sleep and breathe it. I must say things in my sleep like "Canon 70-200f/4L,"or 24-70f/two-eight 'L'.". If you haven't caught on, not only am I obsessed with cameras, including video cameras, I am a Canonian (canon shooter) I don't have the 40D yet, but by the end of July.

I am constantly contributing to Camera Labs at their forum if you never go to a photography forum, you have to go there, I love what Gordon Laing had created there (owner of the site). I am also a guest contributer to DIY photography, I love that site just as much as CL, and I've got so much inspiration from it.

I am influenced mainly by more modern photographers and also a lot by Ansel Adams. I am also influenced by as I said the more modern photographers, Joe McNally and Chase Jarvis. You can't forget about David X. Tejada his work has been a huge influence on the way I shoot and see photographs. Grant it theres a lot more people who influence my work, my family, the people at camera labs, Alex Blacker is a great photographer. I think I'll stop listing now, but you get the picture. (pun intended)
